At the center of Alight Learning are synchronous activities where students and teachers securely collaborate on projects, or assignments. They are provided seamless access to relevant resources, a slew of useful modern web tools, and real-time communication with each other.
On the left, students are studying the inventions of Leonardo Da Vinci and collaboratively working a report in an embedded Google Docs. We support Google services such as Apps and Wave.

All participants of an activity, teachers and students alike, fill it with relevant resources: links, files, videos, etc. Only the best, most relevant, appropriate, and functional resources rise to the top, as decided by everyone working on the same activities. Vote up the best, & ban the broken. No more information overload; no more irrelevant links.

The core content of resources and activities are anonymously shared among everyone using Alight Learning. Our recommendation engine invokes discovery as the best resources and activities are shared with everyone.
A classroom in California loves a resource that a classroom in New York, studying the same topic, knows nothing about. Alight Learning automatically reccomends the resources to the New York classroom. This is how new discovery happens.
Personalized Learning
One size teaching does NOT fit all. Alight Learning activites can easily be modified to reflect the individual needs of every student. All personalizations are simply tracked and can be seen at a glance. Really leave no student behind.
While most students in the class are writing collaborative reports on Leonardo Da Vinci, the teacher personalized some Alight Learning activities to cater better to individual learning styles.

On Alight Learning, every time activities are re-used, they can be preloaded with the knowledge of years past. Have records of all prior work while quickly flipping through student work of only the most relevant ones. Student work is seamlessly compiled in one place, while preserving the richness in Alight Learning content.
A teacher sees blue templates that can be re-used over and over again. Orange activities have been assigned out to students, and the teacher tracks these for only the current unit the class is working on.

Alight Learning is completely free for teachers. It is also externally hosted. This means instant signup, no servers, no IT staff, & no setup costs. Alight Learning places safety and security as its highest priority. No personal data is ever shared except with those given explicit permission.
